FLETC Active Shooter Threat Training Opportunity
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is hosting a free four-day Active Shooter Threat training June 25 – 28, 2024 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to successfully handle an active threat event, concentrating on SINGLE OFFICER RESPONSE tactics. This program will provide the student with the proficiency and aptitude through hands on training to manage these situations. The program takes Active Shooter Threat Tactics Training to the next level utilizing dynamic interactive drills and scenario based training. This program is an intensive training program that covers a variety of tactical subject matters to include: individual and team movement and operational formation. In addition, this program focuses on the role and responsibilities of the responding officers.
Attire: Tactical pants, BDUs (battle dress uniforms) or other rough duty gear/clothing recommended due to potential for soiling and exposure to simulated blood during training. Please dress comfortably. No shorts, open-toed shoes, or flip flops will be allowed.
Equipment/Items to bring: Bring water or beverages/snacks of your choice. Plenty of time will be allotted for lunch. If you would like to use your own duty gear, please ENSURE that it is clear of all equipment before entering the training venue. Duty gear will NOT be needed on day one. FLETC will provide you with all training gear needed.
