The Riverside County, California, Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) serves a population of over 3,000 in the Anza and Aguanga communities. Recently, these communities have experienced increased homicides, assaults, narcotics trafficking and manufacturing, and organized criminal activities.
To combat the increasing criminal activities, the RCSD intends to deploy deputies in specific high-crime areas within the Anza and Aguanga communities to conduct probation and parole checks, warrant sweeps, and specialty details. The RCSD hopes that sharing information from deployments with the California Highway Patrol, United States Forestry Department, and local tribal partners will positively impact its community and reduce the above noted crime rates.
