This webinar, hosted by Ben Horwitz and Jeff Asher of AH Datalytics, is intended for crime analysts and others in police departments who are using analyst products. CompStat360 is a proactive and problem-solving approach for law enforcement to integrate community needs and feedback into data-driven crime analysis and monitoring. Ben and Jeff present on best practices in conveying complex information to a variety of audiences, which is an essential skill for analysts supporting CompStat360. The webinar explores different ways of analyzing trends and using that analysis to highlight the “signal” from the “noise” to better inform strategic decision making. This webinar also reviews the best practices for preparing analytic products for consumption including a focus on graphic design and “bottom-line up-front” methodology. The goal is to provide analysts with a better understanding of how to use data to tell effective stories in their CompStat programs.
