FLETC Human Trafficking Awareness Training

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is hosting two free Human Trafficking Awareness Trainings (HTAT) during the first week of December 2023.

The HTAT program provides students with an in-depth understanding of current indicators that law enforcement and the private sector may observe in industries known for human trafficking. An overview of Federal statutes and applicable state law related to trafficking is referenced. The training is classroom-oriented, with case studies, videos, and student-centered learning activities to enhance the learning experience. A subject matter expert panel discussion with state, local, and federal subject matter experts will also discuss applicable state law.

These trainings are scheduled for Tuesday, December 5 in Charlotte, North Carolina and Thursday, December 7 in New Hanover, North Carolina.
