Introducing the Rural Violent Crime Reduction Initiative!
The Rural Violent Crime Reduction Initiative (RVCRI) team is thrilled to announce the launch of the RVCRI website and Microgrant Application! RVCRI, funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, and supported by the National Policing Institute and LISC provides microgrants and training and technical assistance (TTA) support to law enforcement agencies addressing violent crime challenges in rural areas. As a part of that TTA support, the RVCRI team has developed this website to provide resources on a variety of topics and in various formats.
The RVCRI team has also launched the RVCRI Microgrant Application – an opportunity for law enforcement agencies who are addressing a rural violent crime problem to apply for up to $150,000 in funding support. The RVCRI Microgrant Application will always remain open; however, the first deadline for application review is December 15, 2022.
